I feel That my small but mighty fan base is very similar to her gigantic and equally passionate fan base and, frankly, I think you all will get along quite nicely.
Secondly, the sсript is amazing. Nina Tassler, president of CBS, feels very passionately about the sсript and it's a departure from the network's procedural fare and as you know I have a hold deal with CBS and this was the show they wanted ...me on. You can't argue with that logic. And as I began to say the sсript is really great. It moves fast, is loaded with suspense, allows Sarah to play two charaters, has more twists than a roller coaster. In short, it's great story telling. ANd as an actor, that's what I look for a great story or a great character. Which brings me to my third point.
Thirdly, I play a character named Henry Butler. Baze he is not, sadly, because I loved bringing Baze to life every week for all of you and, selfishly, for me. Baze was a joy to play, it was so effortless. But unless there's a crazy mirac...le, I won't have to chance to play Baze anymore and because I'm an actor by profession it's my job to create new characters. Now many of you have said my part is small in the pilot, and it is, which didn't allow me a very long runway to really lift off with Henry yet, but as the show progresses we will all get our fill. I promise. Henry is a writer, born in Manhattan, and came to early fame as a writer , but hasn't really followed it up with anything. So when we meet him in the pilot he is an unsuccessful writer. He has little interest in the aristocracy of Manhattan but the woman he's married to (played by Tara Summers) is infatuated with it and has worked her way into the lifestyles of the rich and famous, Making Henry even more miserable, so he has taken up with Siobhan, (the rich classy twin played by Sarah Michelle Gellar) Yes, Henry is her lover. She too is married, to Andrew (Ioan Gruffudd's character) and the plot thickens. The plot is that Bridget (the low class, troubled twin) assumes Siobhan's life. This throws off everyone in Sobhan's life as she is clearly not herself, but looks exactly the same. There is a lot more to it, but I'm not up for spoiling the pilot before it even gets a pick-up (which we will know about in May). The pilot sсript was written by Nicole Snyder and Eric Charmelo and is executive produced by Pam Veasey. the pilot was directed by Richard Shepard. It's great company to be in. www.facebook.com/KristofferPolaha?sk=wall
